我院免疫學系方敏教授研究組的研究論文“IL-33 ameliorates experimental colitis involving regulation of autophagyof macrophages in mice”獲得Cell & Biocience雜志2019 Ming K. Jeang Award for Excellence in Cell & Bioscience獎。該雜志為美洲華人生物科學學會會刊，每年由雜志編委會從120篇刊發的論文中評選2篇該年度的Ming K. Jeang Award for Excellence優秀論文并發放獎金。方敏教授研究組的2019年度獲獎論文主要證明了IL-33通過上調腸道巨噬細胞自噬而對抗腸道炎症 （Zhongyan Wang,Lifeng Shi, Shuyao Hua, Chang Qi andMin Fang*Cell&Biosci. 2019, 9:10）。這是繼2012年方敏教授研究組首次發現白細胞介素-33（IL-33）通過促進調節性T細胞（Tregs）的産生而減輕炎症性腸病（Duan et al., Molecular Medicine. 2012,8: 753）後的又一新發現。
